Ro 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
As we approach Christmas Day, we want to see several reasons out of Romans Chapter 5 why we should be thankful for Christ or several reasons to trust Christ if we have not trusted Him as our Lord and Savior. This is a great passage of Scripture in which Paul tells us in the first 4 chapters that we could not make it to Heaven on our own and because of that we ought to be thankful for the many benefits of trusting Christ. He starts out with therefore, because we have been legally declared holy and righteous through the blood of Jesus Christ, we have peace with God. That is the first benefit and the greatest because without Christ we are His enemies as it says in Romans 5:10. He goes on to tell us we have access to God, we have a permanent secure position (a standing before God), and lastly we can rejoice in the fact that we have a hope that one day we will be in Heaven since Jesus said we would and paid the price so we can go. Have you thanked God today for all He has done for you, or if you have not trusted Him, the Bible says Today is the day to be saved, harden not your heart. Let’s be thankful for the greatest Gift of all, Jesus died so we could go to Heaven. Amen and Amen.
