James 1:5-8 Trials Are For Your Faith

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. In this section we will see that God wants us to come to Him in the midst of trials and He wants us to ask Him for wisdom to get through the trial. We might not get the reason why, but we will get what we need to get through it. He will give all of us who ask wisdom and He will not get tired of us coming and asking again for it. He also says to ask in faith, because if we don’t we will not get it. Go to chapter 4 for more insight on why we don’t get from God.
