COLOSSIANS 1:24-27 PAUL'S MINISTRY

Paul was doing here what He’s done already in this letter. He’s actually claiming and repurposing a word that the false teachers had been using. He’s beating the false teachers, once again, at their own game. Earlier in the book we saw they use the word “fullness”, or “completeness”. They thought that they had full knowledge, complete knowledge, and Paul takes that word back from them. He’s doing the same thing here, with the word “mystery.” He is in a very godly way, stealing the word back from them, to accomplish his own purposes. He’s using that word “mystery” to speak again of something that was once concealed but is now revealed.

Mark 8:36 "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

             John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Have you trusted Him as your Savior? He can Save you if You ask Him based on His death, burial, and resurrection for your sins. Believe in Him for forgiveness of your sins today.

              “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  -John 8:32
