In this message we will learn about two steps to finding the will of God, becoming a living sacrifice and acting in faith. Both of these are crucial to finding the will of God for our life and the joy, peace, and fulfillment that comes from doing it. The old song says to trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. If God created all, knows all and ultimately controls how it turns out in the end, shouldn’t we look to Him for direction and guidance in ALL that we do in life from the smallest decision to the largest, it is the smart thing to do.
In this message we will begin to learn how to discern God's will for our life. We will begin to see some practical steps to find out what God really wants us to do with our lives. God wants us to know His will, more than we probably do in most cases. God is not up there trying to play hide and go seek with us and saying come and get it, you’re getting hot, you’re getting cold. He wants His will done, He wants us to be rewarded one day in Heaven. God wants us to have the joy, peace, and abundant life He promised, that is only available when we live in obedience to His will. Do you have these in your life?

In this message today we will start to see that many of us in the church today are not fulfilling the purposes of God that He wants us to. Many if not most of us are settling for second best and not getting the Joy, Peace, and Abundant Life that Jesus promised. If Jesus promised these things, why are most of us not enjoying them, but instead are living ordinary lives of mundane existence and are wondering why we are not experiencing all the wonderful things the Christian life promises. If this is you, then you need to listen to this message and begin to experience all that God has for your life. Quit settling for second best and get the best that God has to offer you and wants you to experience.
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
Today’s message will deal with at least five ways to deal with temptation. Remember, we are at war and satan does not want us to win. He will pull every dirty trick in the book and use everything he has in his arsenal of weapons, but he can be defeated if we trust in God and don’t let the devil deceive us.
1Corinthians 10:13 tells us we don’t have to sin, but God will give us THE WAY OUT of temptation. It is up to us, if we are not ready to quit a particular sin, then God will not force us, He might chastise and discipline us, but when we are ready to overcome that sin, God’s power is available and we can win the battle because greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world.
